Ella's First Christmas

Ella helped me open my gifts and enjoyed "eating" the wrapping paper.

Nana Visit

Ella's Nana came to visit from the great state of Vermont. She came with Grandpa Butterfly, Uncle Matthew & Rosie, the exuberant puppy.

Nana made Ella a baby, named "Brown Baby." Carol made a similar baby for Noah when he was a wee one.

Double the Fun!

Ella had her 4-month pediatrician appointment on Monday afternoon. She weighed in at 15 lbs. 5 ounces, and is 25 1/2 inches long. Ella has doubled her birth weight and take a look at that belly!

Oh, how she has grown!

Digital Generation

My dear Ella,

I have often thought about how this generation(and a few before it) are these kids who grow up with computers in their lives, and just don't think about it. Those that use the mouse at age 3 better then many people 20 times their age(for now). But I have to say it is the weirdest thing to watch you get absorbed in the computer at 3 1/2 months. You enjoy looking at the photos(who doesn't) as much as we do. Often times you will watch the iTunes music visualizer for your dicey 5-6 pm hour, when you are really too tired for much of anything, but you will happily watch the colors entranced...

It's really hard to imagine what the impact of having all these computers around will be for you, but one thing is for sure. You will be no stranger to them. We will keep showing pictures and you will continue to enjoy them.

And I guess we will be reading your blog which I am sure you will be writing at some ridiculous age(by our outdated standards)!

I love you my little computer user(we won't make you suffer windows, you will be much happier with these Apple things-trust me on this one),
